Blue AC1 Shimano Ultegra Aero Road Bike
The AC1 Aero Carbon Road Bike frameset is a beautifully aerodynamic frame with a huge amount of technology courtesy of a team of top aerodynamicists over at Blue Competition Cycles in Atlanta. A neatly curved blend from the head tube into the down tube continues with a slender cutout for the front wheel and the key aero feature on this frame - the reverse teardrop shaped tube. The AC1's aerodynamics don't stop there though; just take a look at that beautifully curved seat post with hugs the rear wheel for maximum airflow efficiency.
There's an impressive level of attention to detail to be found all over this bike and a fine example of that is the internal cable routing which eliminates that annoying blind searching for cables! The solid bottom bracket area is strong enough to ensure every muscle driven stroke of the pedals is delivered to the wheels with maximum effect.
Despite it's killer TT looks, this bike is actually UCI legal and works amazingly in a range of environments from triathlons to road races to criteriums.
The next step up from the 105 model comes the Shimano Ultegra build Blue AC1 road bike. The same highly aerodynamic frame with its fantastic good looks and superb aerodynamic design is this time partnered with the Shimano Ultegra build set. Once again, there's no substituting any of the components for cheaper alternatives - this is a thoroughbred Ultegra build!
This Shimano Ultegra build is a true Ultegra build, keeping the quality all the way from the gearing to the brakes.
