Reynolds Eighty One Wheelset
The super deep monster of an aero wheel from Reynolds; the Eighty One. Everything about this wheel screams speed as the high modulus carbon and refined resin pull together to create this superb wheel which balances the key components of weight, strength, stiffness and of course speed.
Many deep aero wheels take some controlling in stronger cross winds but the Reynolds Eighty One minimises the negative effects through the technology in the Swirl Lip Generator. The Swirld Lip Generator (SLG) encourages air to flow around the rim, reattach itself and ultimately reduce drag from higher yaw angles resulting in much more predictable steering. This fine detail in adjustments to the shape of the wheel allows the rider to control the bike with ease in crosswinds and ultimately benefit from the aerodynamics of this deep wheel. Put quite simply, you're in control and go faster!
